Annual Banff Mountain Film Festival returns October 11

Charles Helm

The annual film evening showcasing the best of the Banff Mountain Film Festival returns to Tumbler Ridge on Tuesday October 11, at 7 p.m. in the High School Gym.

For twenty-three years Tumbler Ridge has been one of the smallest communities on the World Tour to host these films, and this tradition continues thanks to the sponsorship of the Wolverine Nordic and Mountain Society. In 2015 a record number of 160 people attended the evening, which is remarkable for a community of Tumbler Ridge’s size.

A mix of films will be shown, many of them featuring extreme adventures, that is likely to astonish and enthrall viewers of all ages.

Tickets will be on sale at the door: $10 for adults and $5 for under 18. The support of TRSS in providing this great venue year after year is much appreciated. Please note that no outdoor shoes are allowed in the gym.
