The Mardi Gras Winter carnival is coming this weekend. There will be a craft and home business sale on Saturday, Jan. 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The tables are free and there is no percentage charge. To reserve your table call Carol Poff at 250-242-4445.
There are lots of activities including ice sculpturing. It’s certainly cold enough for that. We’re having a wonderful winter and here it is mid-January and we are just getting a little cold spell.
Tumbler Ridge Health Centre Foundation has received donations from Darryl Krakowka, owner of Shop Easy of $1000 and the Lions Club of $1000. The funding was used to buy an adult wheelchair ($1108) and a pediatric wheelchair ($1822).
The Health Centre Foundation received a donation from the employees of Canadian Natural Resources Limited Fort St. John District of $27,552.65 from the funds raised at their 10th Charity Golf Tournament on Sep 1, 2011. The drawn team consisted of Jim Jung of CNRL and Jenny Jung who selected the Tumbler Ridge Health Centre Foundation as their choice of a recipient.
