Banff Mountain Films world tour in Tumbler Ridge Oct 13

Charles Helm

The annual film evening showcasing the best of the Banff Mountain Film Festival returns to Tumbler Ridge on Tuesday October 13th, at 7 p.m. in the High School Gym.

For the past twenty-two years Tumbler Ridge has been one of the smallest communities on the World Tour of these films, and this tradition continues, thanks to the sponsorship of the Wolverine Nordic and Mountain Society. In 2012 a record number of 155 people attended the evening, which is remarkable for a community of Tumbler Ridge’s size.

A mix of films will be shown, many of them featuring extreme adventures, that is likely to astonish and enthrall viewers of all ages.

Tickets will be on sale at the door: $10 for adults and $5 for under 18. Once again the Lions Club will be generously supporting the event by purchasing a block of tickets for TRSS and TRE students. The support of Mr Broderick and TRSS in providing this great venue year after year is also much appreciated.
