BC Conservatives public debate held in Tumbler Ridge

By Trent Ernst, Editor

Kurt Peats made the trip up to Tumbler Ridge from Dawson Creek to take part in the public debate.
Kurt Peats and Bill Jackson were in town on Thursday, October 25 for a public debate. The two candidates were given 15 minutes to speak, then had a question and answer period and a wrap-up. “It was good,” says Don Irwin, Regional Director for the BC Conservatives. “And we’re glad to provide the opportunity to people to come out and hear the candidates.” This was the second of three debates; the last one will be held in Dawson Creek on November 29, the night of the nomination meeting. John Cummins will also be speaking that evening. Interested in voting? You’ll need to get your membership before November 8.

Bill Jackson is one of two people running for the BC Conservative nomination in the South Peace. He was speaking to Tumbler Ridge residents as part of a recent candidate forum.
