To get into the spirit of Christmas, the Health Centre had themselves a little department door-decorating contest to get themselves and visitors feeling jolly.

Lynsey Kitching The participating departments in the contest were Housekeeping, Emergency, Admitting, Counseling, TR Outreach, X-Ray and the Doctors Office. The judge who was chosen to come and decided on the winning door was Lynn Wall. Wall is a long time resident of Tumbler Ridge and volunteers at the Health Centre. The staff felt she would be a great fit it judge the doors based on their creativity and use of department supplies. The contest was a creative challenge and all participants had to incorporate supplies from their department into their door design. This included a floor buffing wreath on the Housekeeping door, the nutcracker with a broken leg on the Emergency room door, a Christmas greeting from Stan the Skeleton and Ruby Red Cell on the X-ray door, helpful Elves on the Counseling door, a Cottonball ginger bread house on the Dr. Office door and more! The winning door decorated by the Emergency department was creatively decorated with Christmas spirit, including the Nutcracker on Crutches! Natasha Burns has been singled out as putting lots of effort and time into making their door the winner. There was no prize for the winning team because the goal was to spruce up the Health Centre, have some fun and to put people in the spirit of the season. Congratulations to Emergency for their win.
