Happy Easter and yes Spring is here on the 20th……..at least according to the calendar.
CHAMBER OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED FRIDAY MARCH 21, 2008
Just to bring you all up to date, we are planning a luncheon on April 23 with Energy Services BC. Their goal is to develop business relationships with O&G Explorers and Producers and be able to connect them with the service sector. The luncheon being held is open to all businesses and interested people. Learn how your business can be added to the list and get out to the O&G Explorers and Producers. Make sure to tell your neighbours and friends, in case they didn?t read this.
Details were not finalized at the time this went to print, please call the Chamber office 242-0015 as I will have the information available now. There is limited seating, please don?t wait too long and miss this very interesting and informative luncheon.
We are happy this year to have a lot of new members and a members that have renewed their membership from last year as well. Thank you for your support. If you are one of those that haven?t gotten around to pay your membership, could you please do it soon. If you have any changes, please put them on a new application, so we can get you all on the website tumblerridgechamber.ca, and on our email list so that we can keep you up to date with all the mail that comes into my office.
We are starting the process of a new Directory for the Businesses, you won?t want to miss out on this one. We are just in the planning stages now…. a new look from the last one…….
If anyone has ideas of guest speakers, workshops or some other function you would like to see around town, please call me. We are always open to ideas. Remember!! Chamber members get discounts on admission fees, advertising, etc., but we like input from the whole community.
My husband Paul & I attended the going away reception for Cpl Peats. Maybe it should have been called a roast. It was a lot of fun, and I was glad to see a good number of people come out to say their goodbyes. We wish him and his family well in their new location of Dawson Creek.
I hope you are enjoying your Easter with family or friends, that you will be able to have at least one day off to relax.
When you are in the Rec Centre please stop in and say hello or get information regarding the Chamber.
