Tumbler Ridge Chamber members had an opportunity to display their products at a mini trade fair held in the Community Centre over the weekend. Products on display included Mary Kay, Avon, gift baskets and flowers, framing and crafts, to name a few.
This is the first business event for this Chamber, who are in the process of reorganizing after a number of years when the Chamber of Commerce had closed its doors. The Chamber has completed their business plan, and have opened an office in the Community Centre.
The advantages to the business community are many, as the Chamber of Commerce is traditionally the ?voice for business? and can take action on their members behalf for issues both small and large.
One of the milestones that have been achieved this year are a field guide booklet, which was distributed this summer, thanks to a strong and committed board. Membership information is available at the Chamber office. Also available is information on all types of business questions, applicable to both new and established businesses. The office is open Monday through Thursday in the Community Centre.
A new board will be elected in January at the annual AGM.
