The following are the community arts events happening in October in Dawson Creek
Oct 4th, 11th,18, and 25th ? The Dawson Creek Spinners and Weavers will be meeting at 10am at KPAC in the Weaving room.
Oct 25th – The Roots Group will be holding its regular meeting in the Roots Building in the NAR Park at 1:30pm. All members are encouraged to attend.
October 24th, 25th and 26th
The Dawson Creek Art Gallery is pleased to host the 6th Annual Art of the Peace Art Symposium. This event will include an opening with wine tasting and Pick a Painting, lectures by renown artists and art professionals, a dessert theatre and workshops.
Registrations are available at the gallery for $60 each and $40 for students. Call 782-2601 for more information.
October 24th ? The Dawson Creek Art Gallery invites you to celebrate their 25th Anniversary with the Pick a Painting Fundraiser and Wine Tasting at the Gallery at 7pm. Please call the gallery for tickets and more information.
October 25th ? the Dawson Creek Art Gallery invites you to join them for a Dessert Theatre with the Serious Moonlight production of ?Vincent? the story of Vincent Van Gough through the letters of his brother Theo. Tickets are $15 each at the Dawson Creek Art Gallery and the performance will take place at the Kiwanis Arts Centre at 7pm.
October 26th ? The Art Gallery will be offering three workshops at the Kiwanis Arts Centre: Encaustic with Carrie Klukas, Watercolour on Canvas with Molly Raher Newman and Pottery with Greg Crowe.

Reel Wednesdays is held the last Wednesday of each month, September through May, at Centre Cinema in Dawson Creek. Tickets are $9 at the door

Vicky Cristina Barcelona is a 2008 film by Academy Award-winning director Woody Allen. This is Allen?s fourth film in a row shot outside the United States and his first shot in Spain, in Avilés, Barcelona and Oviedo. The plot centers around two American women, Vicky and Cristina, vacationing in Barcelona. There, the women meet an artist, and the three quickly develop a relationship. The artist, however, is still enamored of his mentally unstable ex-wife.
