The Ridge Ramble Cross Country Race is now in its 4th year. It will take place at the Golf Course on Saturday 1 October at 11 a.m. The start and finish are on the Driving Range.

Younger age groups run mostly on the golf course fairways, and these races are incredibly spectator-friendly, as almost the entire route can be watched from the clubhouse. These runners finish by running the gruelling steep uphill stretch past the clubhouse, between rows of cheering spectators. Older age groups run on the fairways and on the Wolverine trails.

This race is part of the Wolves Cross Country Running Series, and is organized by the Wolverine Nordic and Mountain Society. The Golf Club has generously allowed WNMS to use their facilities each year. In the last few years over 100 athletes from across the Peace regions of BC and Alberta have taken part, with a traditional strong show from Tumbler Ridge runners.

The Viewpoint Restaurant will be open and will be specially serving coffee and muffins for spectators and participants. This is a great opportunity to come out and relax and support these athletes. Anyone able to volunteer help as a marshall or with registration please call Linda at 242 3984.
