Community to community poker run a success

The first annual community to community poker run kicked off last Saturday in towns throughout the peace region. The motorcycle adventure took riders though Chetwynd, Dawson Creek, Hudson’s Hope, Fort St. John, Taylor and here to Tumbler Ridge.

Ten people from Tumbler Ridge participated in the poker run, and some of them won a prize. Carl Larsson had the best hand and won 50 percent of the entry money and a BBQ.

Baird Saunders had the second best hand and won a five punch golf pass and a BBQ.

Door prizes of TR sunglasses went to Keith Girton and Baird Saunders, Exploring Tumbler Ridge book to Don McPherson and Mark Hammond, and TR multi-tool to Cathy Curle and Carl Larsson.
