LaPrairie Crane to Plant Trees to Commemorate 25th Anniversary
At the April 17, 2007 Regular Meeting of Council, Council received a letter from LaPrairie Crane. To show appreciation to the District of Tumbler Ridge, hometown of LaPrairie Crane they have offered to plant trees this spring in commemoration of the company?s 25th Anniversary. Over the past 15 years, LaPrairie Crane has planted a total of 30 boulevard trees in Tumbler Ridge?s downtown core to celebrate the town?s 10th and 20th Anniversaries.
Days Inn Purchase of Land & Convention Centre Agreements
At the April 17, 2007 Regular Meeting of Council, Council authorized the sale of 3.66 acres of land to 0711320 BC Ltd for the development of a 102 room Days Inn Development, Conference Centre and Restaurant Facility. Council further authorized the Mayor and Corporate Officer to execute the legal documents related to the sale of the land and the partnering agreement.
At the April 17, 2007 Regular Meeting of Council, Council adopted a correspondence policy. The purpose of the policy is to ensure that issues raised in correspondence to Mayor and Council are dealt with expeditiously and to keep Council informed of the progress of such matters.
