District employees and Council raised $550 for the Medical Foundation to assist in that organizations fund raising efforts to raise money for a new ECG machine for the medical center. The picture above was taken at the staff Christmas party held on November 24th at the Coal Bin Pub, located in the Tumbler Ridge Inn.
The District also presented service awards to the staff. Clark Hazelhurst, Public Works Manager presented the 20 year service award to Reynold Hergott and Brian Link. Link and Hergott are Heavy Equipment Operator 2?s with the District of Tumbler Ridge. This is the first 20 year award that has been presented by the District.
The five year service awards were presented by Cheryl Hayden, Director of Community Services for the District. Hayden presented the award to Corrie Bolick, Facility Maintenance Worker and Ann More, Aquatic Leader 2.
The Christmas party is an annual event, and this year approximately 67 people purchased tickets to attend.
