The community bid good bye to Nigel Black, outgoing CAO less than a month ago and now welcomes the new, recently appointed CAO Jack Mussallem. Mussallem, who comes to Tumbler Ridge from Prince Rupert, brings to the community over 22 years of experience in local government in a variety of administrative positions.
?I am happy to be here and anxious to facilitate the needs of the community through the wishes of Council,? says Mussallem. ?In the short time that I have been in this community, I can see that Tumbler Ridge is poised for future development, with regards to the extraction of oil and gas as well as minerals and timber.?
With Tumbler Ridge?s future looking bright, Mussallem has arrived at a great time to join the administrative team of the District of Tumbler Ridge. ?I am excited about the wealth of experience that our new CAO brings with him,? says a local resident, ?it can?t help but be a good thing for Tumbler Ridge.?
Mussallem took the oath of office for Chief Administrative Officer at the Regular Meeting of Council on Wednesday, June 8th. ?I?m excited to be in Tumbler Ridge because this is a young community, a fresh community and a community that has a great local wilderness environment,? says Mussallem. ?I look forward to facilitating the needs of the community, using the team approach with municipal staff, community partners and federal and provincial agencies.
