Enjoy some of the best gardens in Tumbler Ridge

The Tumbler Ridge Garden Club invites you to our third annual GARDEN TOUR on Saturday, July 26, 2008 between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The cost is $4.00. Children under 12 are free.

You register at Hartford Gardens in front of the caboose at any time between 9:45 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. You are given a list of gardens on the tour and can visit them at any time in any order during the day.

You will receive a cloth bag donated by Lee Valley Tools Ltd. and in it there will be ?goodies? including pens, note pads, business cards, promotional material, etc.

Community Futures has provided USB flash disks which allow you to save your documents directly onto this portable disk for use in any computer with USB connections.

We have many supporters and these will be listed in your package. Thank you to all our supporters. Listing these in the newspaper will be after the tour since we will be getting support up to the time of the tour.

You still have a chance to support us. We are doing 50 bags so provide us with 50 promotional items. Give Ellen a call at 242-5283 or e-mail sager@pris.bc.ca. Your business card or promotional material will be included in the bags.

Bring a bag lunch and enjoy it at the Hartford Gardens where there are picnic tables. You can also enjoy lunch at the many restaurants and cafes in Tumbler Ridge.

This is an opportunity for you to see what grows in Tumbler Ridge and how many residents have transformed their properties into garden paradises. Rain or shine we will be having a wonderful day. Bring your cameras. Ask questions of the gardeners.

Enjoy a wonderful day in Tumbler Ridge. Many gardeners will share perennials and seeds in the spring and fall. Chat with them and see what can be arranged. This is your opportunity to get ideas, get information, get plants, get seeds and have a fun day.

If you come on the tour and there are items in the bag you will not use, please do not throw the items away. Either give them back that day at Hartford Gardens or go to the Community Centre and leave them for Ellen. There are packs of basil seeds donated by Stokes, and, of course, the USB flash disks. If you do not have a computer or someone you know who will use the flash disks it is important to give them back for others to have one.

HAPPY GARDENING and join us on SATURDAY, JULY 26 BETWEEN 10:00 A.M. AND 4:00 P.M. Contact Ellen at 242-5283 or Jeanette at 242-5272 or Celine at 242-5395 for more information. You do not have to pre-register.
