Monday August 1st was very exciting for the 50 or so people who attended Tumbler?s FAMILY DAY sponsored and organized by our very own Tumbler Ridge Ministerial Association.
Bill Hendley, coordinator of the event was pleased that many children arrived to hear the dynamic and lively dramas and skits put on by Paul Powers, ventriloquist, Little People?s Ministry.
There were ongoing activities such as a fish pond, basketball challenge and tug of war. Teens got into the Jello wrestling and my son was covered from head to toe in grape jello and colour? there was a water balloon toss and egg tosses too.
Wonderful harmony and songs of praise were sung by the Singing Hills a family group of talented musicians from Three Hills, Alberta. They have a number of CD?s available. The Lions Club were again on the scene to sell Barbequed Hot Dogs and Hamburgers. The Museum Foundation again had a stand to sell Pop and water etc. Oh, and we can?t forget the free candy toss where children were blessed with lots of sugary treats.
