Golfing begins for the season

We?re baaack. Yes the winter travellers have returned and are looking forward to a great summer with a bit of rain and a lot of sunshine. Is that really too much to ask for? If it?s anything like last year you might plan to do all of your indoor stuff on Wednesdays because that?s Senior?s Day and it always seemed to rain or be miserable then.

The new manager at the Golf Course, Kevin Clare, is hoping to have the Clubhouse open starting April 10 for morning coffee, lunch and dinner. To that end a small but eager work crew showed up on Saturday, April 8 and washed windows, chairs, tables, light fixtures, fans, trophies and anything else that got in their way. They even had Ron Downes crawling around in the rafters vacuuming some of the cobwebs away. WAY TO GO RON! ! !

Don?t tell anyone but I?ve heard through the grapevine that, although he?s needed elsewhere and won?t be here in person on the weekend, the Easter Bunny is racing through town sometime this week and leaving lots of goodies for the kids at the Viewpoint Restaurant in the Clubhouse on Saturday, April 15. He (or she) is then setting up an Easter Egg Hunt elsewhere in town on Sunday. Hope to see you there.
