Grizfest 2016: Tribe

TRIBE has a smooth, seasoned sound of a long-playing band. They play a rousing mixture of rock and blues, from familiar classics to intriguing originals.

The band, based at Moberly Lake, BC, includes original members Ken Cameron on bass and Dean Dokkie at the keyboard, Steve Kennedy on lead vocals and guitar, along with two new members, Stuart Wightman on drums and Jay Coda Walker, slide guitar and vocals.

TRIBE is more than a band – it’s a legacy. They have been playing for decades, touring the province since the 1970s.

Since then, the band has lost two original members, ace drummer, John Dokkie Jr in 2002 and more recently, in 2014, lifelong member, the exceptionally talented lead singer and guitarist Ernie Courtoreille.

In Ernie’s honour, the band came together again to play.

Come have a listen, you will be moved!

Make sure you catch TRIBE when they take the stage at Grizfest Saturady, July 30 @ 1:30PM
