Fair Haven Bringing us Celtic Music at its best
Since the birth in 1999, Fair Haven has been bridging the gap with their unique blend of original tunes and traditional Celtic Rock Music. They have carved out their own niche in contemporary Canadian Music and it appears the sky’s the limit.
Founded by the Eastern stylings of the Cook Family with Bob (Drums), Chad (Bouzouki, Mandolin, Guitar and Bohdran) and fronted by Rob (Bass and Lead Vocals), completing the Fair Haven line up are Joe Hertz
(Fiddle), Scott Ring (Whistles) and the Irish traditionalist Paddy McCallion (Lead Guitar and vocals).
Fair Haven has accomplished where other bands have failed, in bringing the most colorful Newfoundland musical roots to the western hemisphere. When seeing Fair Haven, one cannot help but notice the energy that
is generated during their live performance, spilling over onto the audience.
Fair Haven’s kicked-up traditional favorites, spirited instrumentals and awesome originals spur young and old to laugh, clap their hands and forget their worries for a little while.
Fair Haven’s music is energetic, electric and sure to lift your spirits. Their first release titled “The Chase” features twelve upbeat tracks and has enjoyed Radio play on Commercial, College and Independent Radio Stations; From the west Coast of Vancouver to
the east coast of Newfoundland.
Next came the release of “Better Days” which has been getting rave reviews right for the starting gate and has equaled the success of “The Chase”. The long awaited third release, which was produced by
Brian Potvin of “Northern Pikes” fame, is still in the mastering stage is sure to please the wide fan base that Fair Haven has acquired.
Fair Haven has been featured in local, National and International news publications. They have been accused of “bringing a piece of Ireland and The Rock to all who come to see them”.
