Tumbler Ridge Days Society a group of volunteers who organize and promote the Grizfest Music Festival have established a Community Involvement Program where funding will be made available to promote education in music, arts and culture within the community of Tumbler Ridge.
The Community Involvement Program will consist of establishing criteria for a scholarship for Tumbler Ridge Secondary School students in the music, arts and culture field, criteria to support music, arts and cultural educational opportunities within the school system when other funding is not available and criteria for supporting other music, arts and culture opportunities to the public.
The committee will be contacting the schools, Arts Council and community in the near future inviting suggestions for support in offering educational opportunities in music, arts and culture.
Grizfest Music Festival gives groups and organizations opportunities to participate in the festival and earn fundraising dollars for their organization.
