Grizzly Cub rescued at Monkman Provincial Park

Thanks to the efforts of Dan Cassan, the attendant for Monkman Provincial Park, who found the cub and notified wildlife authorities, this baby will have a chance for survival. The cub is approximately three to four months old, and it is unknown what happened to the mother.

The Grizzly Cub is being shipped to a rehabilitiation facility out of Smithers, BC.

The cub will be kept at the facility for about a year, and will then be brought back to this area for release.

Wildlife authorities are asking residents if they have any information about the mother Grizzly, to contact them at their toll free number 1-800-663-3456
