Hello North Snow Report

Winter isn?t over yet. Most communities in the region have received a bit of snow this week and there is more to come. There are some great events coming up check out the hellonorth.com website for more info.

Dawson Creek has received 8 cm of new snow, snowmobile trails and cross country skiing trails are in fair condition, the ski hill is in very good shape for more info check out: tourismdawsoncreek.com.

Chetwynd has no new snow trails are not groomed and conditions are hard packed.

Tumbler Ridge has received a few cm?s of new snow. Sledding conditions have improved to spring like conditions, trails conditions are good to very good. Sledding is not recommended at the Dawson Creek Trail, and the Tumbler Ridge Town Site. On March 13th there is a Poker Ride to Raise funds for Rebuilding the Core Lodge. For more info call Dawn 242-5413. Skiing conditions are ok, but still icy.

Fort St. John snowmobile and ski trails are in good condition. The snowmobile drag races this weekend have been cancelled. If anyone has any information about the missing Yamaha Bravo sled that is used for grooming the ski trails please contact the RCMP in FSJ.

Fort Nelson has a few cm?s of new snow. Snowmobile and ski trails are in good shape.

Mackenzie has no new snow. All trails are groomed and in good condition. Within the next weeks The Town of Mackenzie will be installing a secured compound for out of town snowmobilers to overnight their sleds, the compound is within walking distance to hotels.
