On behalf of our family let me express as much as can be said in words, our heartfelt gratitude to God and our deepest appreciation to each and all our friends and neighbours in Tumbler Ridge for your prayers and many expressions of sympathy and love to us in the recent sudden passing of my beloved wife, Norma-loving Mother and devoted grandmother to our children and 6 grandchildren. Our thanks for Cpl. K. Peats, and Constables . Harvey, Thorne, and Jenkins for providing the colour guard leading the funeral procession in and out of the auditorium.
Our thanks to the ladies of the churches who organized and prepared refreshments following the night of visitation and the Friday service. Our thanks equally to the ladies of the Fellowship Baptist Church for the overwhelming generosity and kindness in bringing the ?meals on wheels? for me and my visiting family. Our thanks especially to Elaine Marcheterre for her efforts in making these arrangements. We?re thankful too for the innumerable expressions of loving sympathy and support from the Church and people of Tumbler Ridge.
Our thanks to Tumbler Ridge News for its excellent coverage of this event and especially to reporter Erin Hanna for her superb report ? Norma?s Coronation.
Our thanks to the Bergeron Funeral Home and staff for the magnificent services provided for Norma?s Coronation including the sending of death notices and obituaries to the media and initiating arrangements for the funeral services required for the Memorial service and burial in Ontario, March 18th.
But, finally and most of all, we thank our God, ?Even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort?so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ?. 2 Cor. 1:3-5? ?who according to His abundant mercy, hath begotten us again unto living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.? (1 Peter 1:3)
It is He who is healing our broken hearts and has conditioned the sorrow of our parting with the joyful expectation of the glad tomorrow for all who love Him, with the certainty of Norma?s welcome Home!
