Residents of Tumbler Ridge for the past 10 years, passed away on Friday August 20, 2004 at the age of 62.
Dave was born in Turo, Nova Scotia on August 2, 1942 but grew up in Grand Falls, Newfoundland. He was an only child born to the late Roy Heise and Barbara Kornman (Tony).
Dave?s main passions in life were golfing, hunting and woodworking, in which he enjoyed doing in his free time.
Dave served as a Captain of the Tsekoa, a 70T Vessel out of New Westminster, travelling up and down the coastline building and repairing wharves and navigation aids. Then moved to Logan Lake and became a heavy duty mechanic and was employed in a variety of place in Alberta. Then he moved to Tumbler Ridge in which he was employed as a heavy duty Mechanic with Quintette Coal and Bullmoose Operations.
Dave leaves behind his wife of 13 years Sharon Heise, daughters Mary Ann Heise of Kelowna, Barbara Poultan (Alan) of Langley, Roy Heise (Louise) of Burnaby. Three step children and six grandchildren and several special friends. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at a later date in Deep Bay, British Columbia.
In lieu of flowers proceeds are going towards a park bench for the Tumbler Ridge Golf Course in the memory of Dave. All donations can be dropped of with Sandra Oliver at 212 Bergeron Drive.
