Itchy Feet Series Continues to Grow

More than 100 people came out Wednesday January 14th to see Lorraine Harrison?s slide show about her backing adventure to the Copper Canyon in Mexico and jungle visit to remote Mayan Ruins in 2001. Her presentation was part of the long standing and still growing Itchy Feet series started years ago by Paul Jurgens in 1993. The idea was to relieve some of the winter cabin fever syndrome by doing a little visual globe trotting.

In fact Charles Helm remembers the first shows drawing few people. Despite that it was clear that those who did attend really enjoyed the evening and so the series kept going. Today the event is booked months in advanced and covers a wide range of topics and travels. So, if you want an entertaining evening and enjoy learning about new places to travel to or dream of, come out and take in one of these excellent presentations in the Tumbler Ridge Public Library beginning at 7:00 p.m.
