After two weeks of vacation Leadership hit the ground running, finishing and maintaining some old programs and starting some new ones.

On Wednesday January 10, Leadership held the final for the senior boys arm wrestling contest. There were a few exciting struggles to see who would progress to the next round, and in the end Cody Weidner emerged on top. The other arm wrestling contests finished in the old year, with Cheyenne Martin winning the girls? arm wrestling, Kenny Cornell winning the junior boys, Shawn Mountenay winning the grades 9 and 10.

One of Leadership?s newest ideas was to have a New Year?s Resolution Contest. Students will put their New Year?s Resolutions into a box and Leadership will select the three best ideas for a school-wide vote on January 25. The resolution that gets the most votes will be the school?s collective resolution. All students in the school should try to fulfill that resolution for the remainder of the year.

Leadership?s latest ideas are to have another school-wide basketball tournament, hold a Valentine?s Day dance, and organize Candy Grams for Valentine?s Day. The basketball tournament will hopefully be run near the end of February, or at the beginning of March. The Dance is probably going to be held on the week of Valentine?s Day.
