On behalf of the Prince George Area Office of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC & Yukon, we would like to express our appreciation to the town of Tumbler Ridge and the many teachers, students and volunteers for helping us with another successful year of Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart. This year, an amazing $3169.77 was raised by students in your community to help fund vital heart and stroke research.
Each year, thousands of students in schools across BC and the Yukon participate in Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart to help fight Canada?s leading causes of death ? heart disease and stroke. Since it began, these Heart and Stroke Foundation programs have become two of the country?s most successful education and fund-raising initiatives. Money raised by these programs is reinvested into the community to help improve the health of all residents.
The Heart and Stroke foundation of BC & Yukon relies heavily on the commitment of the community and volunteers dedicated to helping us lead the way to a better understanding of the root causes of heart disease and stroke.
Thank you everyone, from the bottom of our hearts.
Sincerely, Suzanne Anderson
