To Mayor and Council

August 9, 2006

First, tell me why the web site wouldn?t have a street map of the town of Tumbler Ridge.

Second, the street, which I can?t remember the name of at the end of Bergeron has two schools on it, a skateboard park and tennis courts on the one side and it has a playground area at the 185 Chamberlain condos on the other side. For this reason one would believe that a playground sign to slow down the traffic for the busy pedestrian and children traffic would be erected and a section of this street would be so zoned to make vehicles slow down for children, in particular.

Thirdly, the street, at the other end of Willow between the second and third tiers has a playground zone signage where there is no playground. The playground is at the school which is no longer used as a school and is up on the third level and not close or in the vision of the street. This playground zone should be removed and not ticket people for going faster in a zone which need not be there. All this does is make people think that the laws are not made properly and usually blame it on the police not realizing it is Council who decides these matters.

Your attention to this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you. Ellen Sager, B.A., B.Ed.
