On Sunday April 15, 2007 there was a tragic accident that involved the family of one of our employees on the Bullmoose Development site. The uncle and 5 year old cousin of Wade Brinkman were killed in a farming accident in Saskatchewan leaving behind Charmaine Keck and her three other young children Bryston, Riley and Jasmine. Wanting to do what we could for the family we decided to raise money through a BBQ. One of our employees contacted Twin Anchors Houseboats in Sicamous and they generously donated a 4 day house boating trip to raffle off at our BBQ, Darryl Murphy (Warehouse Man Extraordinaire) took this opportunity to contact all of his suppliers & vendors and collected an unheard of amount of donations to help us raise money for this family. Leo Lavoie and John Paul Wareham donated their winnings from weekly 50/50 draws, and through ticket sales for the raffle we were able to give the grieving family $10,000. In 6 days the employees, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and the Tumbler Ridge Community were able to pull together to help a family they had never met! It makes us very grateful to work with and for such a caring and supportive community of people and we would like to say thank you to all that participated! Your actions make this world a better place to live!
