There was an accident on Highway 27 just outside of the Tembec Mill in the early hours of November 15th.
The accident happened at approximately 6:50 am when a commercial vehicle inspector driving a Chevy Tahoe served to avoid three deer that crossed the road and lost control of the vehicle. The driver regained control but side swiped a Dodge Dakota. Both vehicles went into their respective ditches, one eat bound, and one west bound.
The driver of the Dodge Dakota had to be extracted from his vehicle with the assistance of the Chetwynd Fire Department by using the jaws of life.
Both drivers received minor cuts and bruises, however the trucks were totalled.
