MUSEUM FOUNDATION RECEIVES DONATION

The Lakeview Credit Union has donated $2000 to the Tumbler Ridge Museum Foundation for the purchase of a 42 inch LCD screen. This will be connected to the Sci Tech North Interactive Exhibit in the Community Centre, and will be placed on the wall above it. There is over an hour of viewing footage on this exhibit, focussing on all the museum themes.

Dr Charles Helm, President of the Museum Foundation, commented, ?We are most grateful to the Lakeview Credit Union for this wonderful donation. It will now be possible for groups to enjoy our interactive exhibit together, and this will further enhance the ambience and attraction of the Community Centre and boost tourism.?

Peter Thomas, Director of Community Services at the Community Centre, stated: ?Now residents and visitors alike will be able to view the short clip video segments on human and natural history of Tumbler Ridge, as well as the Coal mining and Dinosaur documentation that has made Tumbler Ridge what it is today. It will be much more user friendly on the big screen. Congratulations to the Museum Foundation and thanks to the Lakeview Credit Union.?
