New Tumbler Ridge Landmark

On August 3rd, an 18 yard, 35 ton bucket was placed by Public Works, with the assistance of LaPrairie Crane and the Quintette mine in Tumbler Ridge?s Centennial Park. The bucket was donated by the mine, along with new paint which will be applied in the near future by Public Works. The actual placing of the bucket was done by LaPrairie Crane, and went very efficiently. Public Works Manager Clark Hazlehurst, said that the bucket was placed to go along with a mining theme. The surrounding area of the bucket will be made to look like a quarry of a mine. When finished a picture can be taken of the bucket with wonderful Town Hall in the background!
