The Canadian Library Association has declared October Library Month in recognition of the outstanding services that libraries provide communities across the country.

The Tumbler Ridge Public Library, staff and Board of Trustees, have chosen the week of October 16 – 21 as Patron Appreciation Week. We would like to thank the community for the support we receive.

Information on the new upcoming changes and enhancements to the services that the Library provides will be demonstrated at the OPEN HOUSE Thursday October 19 2pm – 5:30. Come, meet the Board of Trustees and have a piece of cake.

Events planned to celebrate Library Week include Tumbler Ridge Public Library presents; ? A Musical Celebration for our Youngest Patrons!!? Friday, October 20th at 6 pm. ? An evening of Music, Magic and Mirth. Music and Entertainment provided by T. R. United Musicians, Performers and Friends. With special guest ? Mr. Magic. Children of all ages and their stuffies, Welcome. Cost ? Free!

Also; Tuesday, October 31st, from 3 ? 8 pm, the T.R. Haunted Library is hosting a party! Join us if you DARE?.Put on your creepiest, prettiest, scariest costume and join us at the Library during your trick or treat run. Visit our Gallery of Ancestors, the mad lab, and enjoy not too scary stories by the not so scary Librarian.

Wander through our Haunted Forest. We?ll have games, activities and prizes for great costumes. Winners will be announced the next day. Cost ? Free! See you there!!
