Parents of Children with Special Needs Support Group

Is a grassroots family support group for parents of children with special needs. This support comes in many forms including emotional, connections with other parents, and advocacy. Parents often find their greatest support in other parents who are in similar situations. Often the diagnosis is different, but the stress factors are the same. The group?s aim is to strengthen and support families faced with the extraordinary circumstances that come with having a child with a disability, however mild or extreme. Parents are the experts when it comes to understanding their child, and families serve as a unique and valuable resource to each other.

Join us Monday, June 1st and 15th at the T.R. Children?s Centre from 6:30 ? 8 pm., with guest speaker Dr. Charles Helm. Refreshments will be served.
