Paws for a Cause

Paws for a Cause had approximately 60 people turn out for the walk itself along with their four legged friends and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. We raised a total of $5700 from pledges, $140 in hotdog sales and $125 in merchandise sold, more than double last years totals..

Everyone that beat the pavement and raised pledges were also entered into a draw for a mini motorbike.

We also held a raffle recently and had our local Mayor make the draw.

The top prize of a one night stay at the Granaries Bed and Breakfast went to Peter Mathews, The second prize, a homemade cat print lap quilt, went to Trish Reeves and third prize of a four man tent and two sleeping bags was won by Gordon Smith.

Thanks everyone for supporting our shelter by buying a ticket for the raffle. We raised $1000 from your generosity.
