VICTORIA – The provincial government is providing funding to install centreline rumble strips on several sections of Peace roads, announced BC Liberal MLAs Richard Neufeld and Blair Lekstrom.
Work is scheduled to begin on April 30 and end in late June. The
$164,104 contract was awarded to Dunwell Landscaping Ltd out of Kelowna on April 11.
?Since I was first elected in 1991, improving the quality and safety of our roads has been a key focus of mine,? said Peace River North MLA Neufeld. ?Ensuring the safety of the travelling public is important to all of us, and the enhancements announced today are another example of our Government delivering results for Northeast BC.?
?During my seven years as an MLA, I?ve been proud of the more than $400 million dollars in transportation funding delivered to the Peace,? said Peace River South MLA Lekstrom.
?These projects, and others like them, help keep us safe, and ensure our infrastructure is able to meet the needs of our growing economy.?
