Tumbler Ridge RCMP would like to remind the public that there are many large predators in this area and that it is not unusual for them to wander into town from time to time. Please be aware of this fact and take whatever steps necessary to reduce attractants such as open garbage, and fruit and vegetables on trees and in gardens. Hunters processing game at home should do so as quickly and efficiently as is reasonable and to be cognizant to minimize lingering wild game odours.

A person can report a sighting of concern to either the local RCMP or to BC Conservation.
