RCMP Advisory

The Chetwynd RCMP is seeking assistance from the public in identifying person(s) responsible for several break and enters to business places in the Chetwynd area over the last several weeks. Recently, there has been an increase in break and enters in the Chetwynd area. Generally, small amounts of cash or products are stolen along with damage to property upon entry. Suspects are yet to be identified, however, the Chetwynd RCMP continues to investigate these matters. Chetwynd RCMP would also like to advise business owners to refrain from keeping amounts of cash on premises during non-business hours and to report suspicious person or activity.

In addition, over the Christmas holidays, two logging trucks were stolen from the Chetwynd area. These thefts are believed to be separate matters than from the commercial break and enters. Again, police request any assistance with identifying the thieves.
