Members of the former Musical Ride committee have been meeting for several weeks to plan a party for Cpl. Peats who has left to take up duties in Dawson Creek.

Approximately 120 residents attended the event, which was held in the Community Centre. Jerrilyn Rochan compiled a DVD of the life and times of Cpl. Peats in Tumbler Ridge, displayed on screen complete with sound.

Bob Norman gave a masterful rendition of the Police Blotter from a criminal point of view, and Harry Prosser m?cd the event.

Members of the Detachment were on hand, presenting Peats with a going away gift, as did the committee.

Rose Colledge, Brenda Holmlund, Jerrilyn Schembri, Crys and Larry White and Marie Therriault, and Michele Burton all played a part in making the evening a success.

The committee would like to thank everyone for their support in organizing the party.

We all wish Cpl. Peats the best, and we will miss those community update meetings, the Blotter, and seeing that smiling face around town.
