Red Ribbon Days will be held at the Community Centre and we need YOU to participate.
What are Red Ribbon Days? Adults and children enter items in categories for judging and the items are judged for first, second or third place. There are crafts such as knitting, crocheting, needlework, woodworking, and leather making. The baking and preserves section includes cookies, pies, jams, and breads including using bread machines.
Wine and beer are also included. There is a photography category with a variety of subject matter. Horticulture includes indoor and outdoor plants. Art projects. Lego creations, computer creations, poetry writing and short story writing are all designed to challenge the competitors.
On the Friday you bring your items in and they are put on the tables. The judging is done on Friday night and the ribbons are given.
On Saturday, the public comes to see what people made and what the prizes were. It is lots of fun. Get your booklet from the community centre or log on the internet at www.pris.bc.ca/sager/redribbondays and find the booklet there.
