The Ridge Ramble Biathlon is one of Tumbler Ridge’s longest-standing events. Sunday 6 June participants will line up for the 15th consecutive year, for the 20 km cycle followed by the 10 km run. This an excellent opportunity to promote healthy lifestyles in a fun way and contribute in the process to a good charitable cause

Innovations over the years have included team events in which one person cycles and one runs, and mixed teams. For the past three years there has also been a very popular kids event, which mirrors the adult event: 4 km cycle followed by a 2 km run.

This year, for the first time, the Biathlon is being held as a fundraiser for Multiple Sclerosis led by Jess Hunt, and the Northern Lights College are helping the Wolverine Nordic and Mountain Society put on the Biathlon.

Start and finish is at the corner of Northgate and Monkman; kids start at 9 am and adults at 10 am. Please pick up MS pledge sheets at the Community Centre. Prizegiving and prizes for top pledgers after the events, thanks to our local and regional sponsors.

Even if not participating, please come out and cheer on the competitors. Thanks for the excellent response to the call for volunteers without whom the Biathlon could not be held. There will be juice and cookies for all participants thanks to sponsors Shop Easy and Tags.
