Ridge Ramble Race being held this weekend

The Tumbler Ridge ski trails are in excellent shape, and the 9th annual Ridge Ramble cross country ski race is set to take place on Saturday, January 29th at 11AM. This is one week earlier than the usual date, in order not to conflict with the Northern BC Winter Games being held in Dawson Creek. Ski distances for kids are 1 km for those 7 & under, and 2.5 km for the rest. Adults can choose to ski the cabin loop once (7 km) or 3 times (20 km). Entrance fees are $13 for adults and $8 for kids, which includes lunch.

The clubhouse will be open for registration as well as for refreshments during and after the race. Great door prizes have already been donated, including a youth Kicksled as a grand draw prize for the kids? race, generously donated by Dan?s Outdoor Accessories.

As WNMS members, you are encouraged to either take part in this fun race, volunteer to help out, or even come on down to the golf course and cheer the skiers on! Last year we had a record 27 kids entered, and are hoping for a great turnout again this year.

Volunteers are needed for registration, timing, and two volunteers on skis are required for two junctions on the route (at 0.5km and 1.5km).
