Summer Reading Club wraps up

The Summer Reading program opening ceremonies were held on June 25th, with the seven week program ending last week at the closing ceremonies.

165 children registered for the program which included Story Time, Crafts, and other fun activities.

27 teens registered for the teen reading and craft programs.

Stamping and book making were facilitated by Myra Grodziuk, Paper Quilling was taught by Marie Therriault and jewelry bead work was taught by Kristen Holmlund.

Generous sponsors helped fund the program. The fund raising went towards prizes, which is a great incentive to kids.

Monies also went for new books to enhance the theme ?Read All Over the Map? and towards craft supplies.

Total children attending the programs over the seven week period were 1006.

Congratulations to Sharon Bray, Children?s Librarian and library staff for putting on another outstanding program for the children of the community.
