Tumbler Ridge Chamber of Commerce hosts first Community Christmas Party

The Chamber of Commerce sold 111 tickets for their gala evening which was held on December 1st.

Marie Therriault, Chamber of Commerce manager, reported that: the decorating in rooms 4 & 5 was fabulous. We hired Claudia Hunter, her company name is Details, and she does take care of every detail. Claudia also catered the hors d? oeuvres. We had hot and cold. The hot hors d? oeuvres were passed around by high school students that Claudia hired.

We want to give a BIG BIG thank you to all those individuals and businesses that donated auction items and door prizes. Without them the evening would not have been the same. We know that the businesses in a small community are always being asked for donations, and we really appreciated all their help to make The Chamber of Commerce 1st Annual Christmas Gala Evening a wonderful evening.

Floral Fantasy donated the Baby?s Breath that was all over the tree by the wonderful vignette that Claudia created, as well as all the cedar greens that was on the tables.

The Community Centre also helped us with the cost of the rooms and rentals.

We had 23 door prizes donated by KC Dollar Store and More, TR Shell, The Dragon Palace, Lakeview Credit Union, Ma-M-Way Open Camp, Papa Joe?s , Jade True Value, Hub International (Barton) Insurance, Northern Metalic Sales, Tags/Fas Gas, Jacey Welding, Shop Easy, Northern Lights College, and Tangles.

Anthony Boos and Karen Meyer, Dual Action (Cascade Realty) donated the Chamber of Commerce Christmas Tree. Tree gift certificates were donated by One Stop Video Shop, Jade True Value, Kinuseo Restaurant, Kinuseo Gift Shop, Tags/Fas Gas, Shop Easy, and Tangles. The Chamber of Commerce Tree was purchased by a local business and it was donated to a needy family in Tumbler Ridge complete with all the gift certificates in place.
