Due to the uncertainty of enrollment, as our town is increasing in size week by week, we will not be making class lists for the upcoming year until September.
To avoid unnecessary shuffling of children in September, the students will return to their previous classroom teacher for the first two days of school.~ Final class lists will be made up and posted on Thursday morning at 8:45 a.m. and students will go to their assigned class for the year.
Procedure for the first two days of school:
?All students will be asked to proceed to their old classroom on the first day of school. Remember school starts at 11:00 and ends at 1:30 on the Tuesday. Wednesday it starts at 8:55 and ends at 2:33.
?New students to the school will be asked to meet Madame Ferguson in the gym to receive instructions as to where they will be for the first two days of school.
?Kindergarten students will not come to school until
Thursday. This will be their first day at school.
~ This will avoid confusion for the little students.~
?Once all students are counted, teachers will meet after school on Wednesday to finalize class lists.
Thank you for your co-operation and understanding.~ We are following this procedure that is practiced in other schools in our district. They have found that by having students return to their last year?s teacher and classroom for the first two days of school it avoids unnecessary shuffling of students due to class size regulations.
