Tumbler Ridge Police Blotter

Hello neighbor and welcome back to the Blotter, and what a week its been here in the Ridge. All good things must come to an end, and so it is with the Blotter. Over the past three and a half years, I have admittedly written the Blotter with tongue firmly planted in cheek. My goal was to use humor in order to portray the various messages that have gone out. As a result of using humor, some people did not find it funny, but found it offensive. My goal was never to injure or harm anyone, and if I did offend you, I sincerely apologize.

The Blotter will be no more, as I do not want to inadvertently hurt anyone, or cause the reputation of the RCMP to diminish in the public?s eye. I do want to say thank you to those of you who have supported Tumbler Ridge Detachment over the past several years. Your support in times of joy and great sorrow have allowed us to move forward and to meet the challenges ahead.

Well talk again, the good Lord willing.

Over and out.

Editor?s Note:

Have you enjoyed reading the police blotter since its inception? Do you feel that the weekly peek into the heart of the community is a valuable service?

We know at the newspaper that the Blotter is read not just here at home, but in such diverse places as Hawaii and small town Texas, and beyond. Many of the 80,000 plus folks who visit us each month on the web also mention how much they enjoy reading it. The Blotter transcends the blue collar residents who live in this small mining community and appeals to people from all walks of life and of all ages.
