Court was held in Tumbler Ridge on October 21st, 10 AM. Court opened with Youth Court. There were six youth called forward with a total of twelve charges ranging from causing a disturbance to mischief and breach of probation. There was one warrant to hold issued and seven charges were held over to February 24th for arraignment. An arraignment hearing is simply to officially begin the court process. During the arraignment the accused in consultation with his/her lawyer will decide how to deal with the charges. They can choose to enter a guilty plea at that point, or a not guilty plea.

Leigh Carpenter Charged under the controlled drugs and substances act with trafficking in a narcotic. Held over to February 24th, 2005 for disposition.

Charged with Fraudulently altered drivers license under the motor vehicle act. Held over to February 24th for arraignment and to obtain counsel.
Jerod DoonanCharged with impaired driving and driving over .08 under the criminal code. Also charged with prohibited driving under the motor vehicle act. Held over to February 24th for arraignment

Charged with breach of undertaking and charged with mischief (damaging property). Held over to February 24th for arraignment
Charged under the criminal code with assault and with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and unauthorized possession of a firearm. Pled not Guilty Plea on both charges, set to October 22nd, 2004 to fix a date for trial in Dawson Creek
Charged with impaired driving. Held over to November 25th, 2004 in Chetwynd.
Charged with cultivation and possession for the purpose of trafficking. Held over to February 24th, 2005 for arraignment.
Charged with one count of assault and two counts of uttering a threat. Held over to February 24th, 2005 for arraignment.
Pled guilty to ?Driving with undue care?, $1000 fine.
Charged with impaired driving and over .08. Not guilty plea, date to be fixed October 22nd, 2004.
Pled guilty to causing a disturbance by fighting as a result of a fight that occurred in front of the high school. Sentenced to six-month probation and 25 hours of community services.
