TUMBLER RIDGE SPORTS HALL OF FAME OFFICIAL OPENING

The newest exhibit of the Tumbler Ridge Museum Foundation will be the Tumbler Ridge Sports Hall of Fame, which will be housed downstairs in the Tumbler Ridge Community Centre. Mayor Caisley will officially open this exhibit at 1 pm on Saturday January 27th, as part of the ?Meet the Museum? day. Three outstanding Tumbler Ridge sportspeople will be recognized and inducted into the Hall of Fame: Jason Delesalle, Al Tattersall and Kris Swanson. Each will have a composite photo plus a text panel. The list of criteria and the nomination procedure will also form part of the exhibit. Delesalle was nominated by Linda Helm, Tattersall by Birgit Sharman, and Swanson by Michael Hunter. The Tumbler Ridge Sports Hall of Fame will honour these and other outstanding athletes who have distinguished themselves at provincial, national or international level, and brought honour to their sport and often to Tumbler Ridge.
