Vancouver, BC, February 4, 2004: The Tumbler Ridge MHA Novice and Bantam House Tournaments are the latest to sigh up for the province-wide Spirit of 2010 Hockey Tournament.
More than 290 youngsters are expected to participate in the Tumbler Ridge Tournaments.

Open to every 2004 Spring Break hockey tournament in the province, the Spirit 2010 Tournament promotes minor hockey and the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. The Province of British Columbia, 2010, presents the Spirit of 2010 Hockey Tournament Legacies Now, the Vancouver Canucks and the British Columbia Amateur Hockey Association.
?The Spirit of 2010 Hockey Tournament brings B.C. families and communities together in the name of sport. It?s just a taste of what?s to come when we welcome the world in 2010,? said Blair Lekstrom, MLA for Peace River South. ? These tournaments are a great opportunity for the players in Tumbler Ridge and I know everyone involved will have a terrific time. ?
Every player registered with the Spirit of 2010 Hockey Tournament receives a commemorative puck and poster. Tournaments also receive a Spirit of 2010 Trophy and banner. More than 30,000 players are expected to take part in over 100 Spring Break tournaments around the province.
