Two More Wins For The Local Theatre Group

House lights down at the North Peace Cultural Centre in Fort St. John, on Saturday, May 8 at 8:00 pm. Spotlight up on the focal piece of the evening, an afghan covered bed with a white-haired woman laying on top of it. So began the play (November) written by Don Nigro, directed by Erin Hanna of the Grizzly Valley Players, the adult drama group of Tumbler Ridge. As reported previously in the Tumbler Ridge News, Jean Pawlucki played the lead character of Aunt Liz. She played it so well, in fact, that she came home with top award for Best Actress at this year's Peace River Zone theater festival. This competition was adjudicated by Andrew McIllroy of Second Avenue Studios in Vancouver. Director Erin Hanna was so pleased for Pawlucki as she had an unbelievable task with being in each and every scene of the two hour play. In his initial thoughts on the play, McIllroy marvelled, (all from lying down on a bed!) McIllroy, the acting instructor for Second Avenue Studios in Vancouver, was impressed by another cast member,
