Wayne Sawchuk?s book ?Muskwa Kachika, Wilderness Heart of the Northern Canadian Rockies? arrived just in time for his Itchy Feet presentation Wednesday at the Tumbler Ridge Library. This was the first time the book was made available to the public and the public seemed captivated with the breath-taking photographs in this beautiful coffee-table book.
When he wasn?t signing books, Wayne was giving an interesting presentation on the Arctic. After a short intermission that featured Freezies, which represented Arctic treats and curry, bush tea, soetkoekies and rusks from Africa, Wayne continued with his presentation, speaking and showing slides from his trip to Africa.
Wayne is an avid outdoorsman who has worked in logging, as a wilderness guide, trapper, photographer and wilderness advocate. Wayne is the founding President of the Chetwynd Environmental Society.
